Bolt Driver App: How to ‘Stop New Requests’?

The Bolt Driver app has a ‘Stop new requests’ button that allows drivers to pause receiving new ride requests while they are on a trip.

This feature is available to Bolt drivers who have accepted a ride request. Once activated, the feature will prevent the app from sending new ride requests to the driver’s device until their current trip is complete.

How to stop new ride requests on the Bolt Driver app:

  1. Open the menu: To stop receiving new ride requests on the Bolt Driver app, start by tapping the menu icon located at the bottom right corner of the screen. This will bring up a menu with various trip options.
  2. Tap the ‘Stop new requests’ button: Within the menu, look for a button labelled ‘Stop new requests’ at the bottom of the screen, which is represented by a hand icon. Tap this button to stop receiving new ride requests.
  3. Close the menu: After tapping the ‘Stop new requests’ button, you can simply close the menu by tapping the ‘X’ icon or swiping it off the screen. You will now be able to complete your current ride without receiving any new requests.
How to stop new trip requests?

The ‘Stop new requests’ button on the Bolt Driver App is a valuable feature that can be helpful in a variety of situations. For example, if you are receiving an overwhelming number of ride requests that may distract you while driving, or if you want to manage your acceptance rate to maintain a good standing on the app, you can use this feature. Additionally, the button is a useful tool if you want to take a break from driving or finish for the day. It is a flexible feature that can be used multiple times during a driving session, providing drivers with greater control over their driving experience.

Although the “Stop New Requests” button can be helpful for many drivers, there are certain situations where it may not be the best choice. For instance, if you want to quickly move from trip to trip to maximise your earnings, it’s best not to use the feature. Additionally, if you are not receiving many ride requests or are in a quieter location, it may not be necessary to use the button.
